The second annual Green Tourism Conference will build on the momentum started last year around the common cause of promoting eco-tourism throughout the Catskill and Pocono Mountain Regions. Food service businesses, lodging facilities, tourism agencies, “eco” product suppliers and recreational activity businesses are invited to attend. The collective region’s proximity to two major metropolitan areas position it as the #1 up and coming destination for eco-tourism and outdoor recreational opportunities. Through collaboration, the conference seeks to increase revenue for the hospitality industry and supporting businesses across the region; spanning Delaware, Greene, Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster counties of New York; and Wayne, Monroe and Pike counties of Pennsylvania.
Registrants will be entitled to attend Monday’s opening reception, entry to the exhibit hall, Tuesday’s roundtables, workshops and luncheon. On Monday afternoon attendees are given a choice of hospitality certificate trainings to attend.

April 2014 - The 13 Hotels of the Santa Fe Green Lodging Initiative received HospitalityGreen's Green Concierge Bronze Certification, a nationally recognized third party green facilities certification. Initially developed for the lodging properties of the New York Catskill Region, now over 70 lodging properties in Delaware, Massachusetts and most recently Santa Fe, New Mexico are participating in the certification program. The Green Concierge Certification delivers a third party property assessment and requires Green Team Training and employee engagement. Hospitality Green consultants offer trainingto the public in sustainable facility operations, implementation, and "Green Team" development. HG's facility trainings provide to a company's most important asset, their employees, the insight to recognize operational and procedural inefficiencies as well as opportunities for improvement.
