HospitalityGreen's Eco-Business Certification program
There are over 60 facilities currently participating in HospitalityGreen's National Eco-Business Certification. HG's Green Concierge Certification, provides a third party audit for performance-based improvements in resource use, conservation and environmentally conscious practices.
The HG Eco-Business Certification process is structured in three tiers (Bronze, Silver and Gold) with each tier providing a realistic benchmark and advancement to subsequent tiers dependent upon a business commitment, their verifiable resource tracking and their dedication to increasingly rigorous sustainable practices.
Each participant voluntarily agrees to track resource usage with HG's proprietary Resource Tracking Tool (The RTT.) The RTT is an easy to use on line tool, available to all participants for a modest annual fee. The RTT does not require extensive computer skills. The easy fill in fields allow all levels of facility personnel to use the tool. Using EPA recognized data conversions to measure and to chart improvement, the tool automatically quantifies resource use/savings. Using the RTT's Print Report feature, data can be easily retrieved and shared by facility personnel.
The Green Concierge Certification, was recently recognized and ranked by Greenlodge.org as a Silver Tier Program. Along with the HG Certification, Greenlodge.org also recognizes as Silver Tier an elite group of national and international third party certification programs.
